It is a Halloween Miracle!!
Like Linus wait for the Great Pumpkin many of us have waited patiently, or some not so patiently. We have watched as angsty, emo, whiny, weak vampires have dominated the screen. And now our sincerity in wanting a real vampire, waiting and knowing they are out there has been answered.
Take a moment to bask in the glory of Jonathan Rhys Meyers as Dracula!!!!
This is a new take on the classic story and will be set in Victorian London!!! Deep breath. Okay according to the article NBC has signed up for 10 episodes. Yes people, a grown up, sexy, evil, vampire. Our patience and ritual animal sacrifice has been rewarded!!
So make sure you moisturize your neck, you wouldn’t want the skin to be tough when he comes to visit your house.
I will be in the line at 5am for this panel at Comic Con, please book Hall H as 80% of what I want to see is always in Hall H!!!
Not sure if you want to join me in line at 5am then watch this and soak in the pretty.
Yummilicious! Thanks for the racing heart beat:) I too have been waiting for a sexy, bad, Dracula.
Happy Halloween!
I hope it’s good- fingers crossed!
OMG! I had heard they were doing the series but wasn’t sure who was Dracula, Maybe they got something right?
Maybe we can but hope and yell at the screen
I have no comment on the model, but it’s about time we got vampires back to their roots. Dracula was the archetype for the vampires in my own book, Drasmyr (shameless self-promotion alert :)). I mean, if you like sparkly vampires, I guess that’s fine… but, really?
I know right. Have you read Anno Dracula? It’s based off Bram Stoker’s- so insanely good.
No, I haven’t. I’ve heard good things about it, though.
Let me know if you read it- I really liked it.
I’ll do my best.

I don’t know anything about this upcoming series, but I’m praying that they present the real Dracula from Stoker’s book instead of the caricature that has lingered for decades. The literary Dracula is frightening…wonderfully frightening. π
Thanks for the heads-up, Alica!
He was frightening – I loved the original book. Have you read Anno Dracula- it is based off Bram’s with the idea that Van Helsing didn’t win, so good, creepy, and rather gory.
