Alica dreams of living on a “Clothing Optional” beach where lovely men of many ethnic backgrounds bring her drinks and rub her feet, while wearing a variety of kilts and skirts (optional, of course). When on the verge of a nervous breakdown she plots her escape from exercise, gathers her sweats, and fills out applications to become the creepy night lady at the Circle K.

Alica McKenna Johnson lives in Tucson, Arizona with her very understanding husband two to eleven children, depending on the time of day, and her daughter’s minions–aka the fish. Instead of collecting stamps–BORING–Alica collects sexy men in kilts. Hey, her husband is VERY understanding. At least Alica no longer collects them in the basement.

  1. Hello Witchdragon, I have just reread Gypsy Cravan. Wow – it is still a great story however many times you read it. Anyway I saw your latest post and I have come looking for your new stories. I can’t wait to see what you have written.
Where do I go to find them?
Good luck with your story that is going to be published.
    Best Wishes,

  3. Greetings Witchdragon! As with Claire (posted earlier here), I have just finished Gypsy Caravan, for the 8th time! I am looking forward to more of your work. Finishing this story is like losing a friend. My heart breaks every time. You are on my short favorite author list, and I hope you will post again on hpfandom. Good luck with your work! Keep writing. You and the other authors give someone like me hope that someday I may find that special someone as well.. I just signed up to be a follower of your blog too.

    Keep up the good work!!

    With thanks!

    • Jay thank you so much! I can’t believe you read my story eight times! This has totally made my day I am so buzzed right now, all of my anxiety about putting my book into the world is gone- now if I only had it back from the editor!
I’m sure you will find someone special, the world is full of amazing people to meet, and you never know who is just around the corner!
I hope you enjoy my blog- and hopefully soon my new book, if I can ever get it put together.

      • Hi again Alica, I’m reading Gypsy Caravan again. It just makes me feel good, and helps me remember that there are people in world that will accept you for who and what you are without prejudgement. 2012 was a bad year for me personally, and I wanted to start out 2013 on a better note. I’m going to put together a binder with my favorite stories in it from the different fan fiction sites, and this will be the 1st one. Thanks again for all your hard work.

        Jay

  5. Hi,
Just finished reading Gypsy Caravan. My first HPFandom story (as previously I’ve stuck to the fanfiction website) and I fear that all other stories I will continue to read are going to pale in comparison. I may even join HPFandom just to favourite it.
Also, hopefully soon I’ll buy your book off amazon, can’t wait to read it. Although, I must to do something else first as I’ve spent the last couple of days doing little else but read Gypsy Caravan.
Good luck with the writing, I hope you continue for a long time,
    Abbey

    • Abbey- thank you so much! I am always thrilled when people find Gypsy and enjoy it :) I really hope you enjoy Phoenix Child! And don;t worry I’ll keep writing, the voices in my head to too loud if I stop! LOL!
